Digital Screenbased Narrative

I want to make a website or a flip book. It essentially leads to the viewer of my website to become active and "make their own puzzle" themselves.

The website is divided in 3 parts. The puzzle pieces. the experiment and the "your turn". I want to share my thoughts about the things I thought, discovered and wondered about. Just to make the reader think for themselves.

The reason for this is creating awareness of everyone's uniqueness. And even countries should acknowledge each others differences and see how we make one big puzzle. Creating art is essentially about layering. Adding to your own work and letting others add their thoughts. Every person is unique and so is what they make.

The making of the puzzle for people themselves is a fun addition.
I looked op information about puzzles on google:
Puzzles exercise both sides of your brain, They improve your memory. They also improve your problem-solving skills and visual and spatial reasoning. Lastly, they lower your stress level and enhance your mood.

It's good for people to get their creative juices flowing by taking time of their own work and creating a puzzle. So in a way, making this puzzle of the world can give you a break and make you think again.

I could not find a good website builder that was for free, so I chose for Squarespace with a free trial. Limited amount of days I can use this. I was also beginning to make a flipbook with FlipSnack, but this was also difficult, because you had to pay to get an upgrade.

Due to Corona Virus I couldn't ask many people to participate with my experiment. I was happy with the few that did! This was on a small scale, but still a good learning experience.

If I had the website earlier I could have shared it with people and they could have done this exercise online as well.

What is the most notable thing for your development as a designer that you learned from doing this assigment:

-To not worry about not having a concrete idea in the beginning. But just roam around, let your curiosity drive you. This concept of drifting is something I will take with me in future works.

-I also experienced how to do experiments with other class mates.

-I haven't made a website very often. It was interesting to built one in Squarespace for a change.

I learned that there is art in combination. Man-made, nature, and glitches of technology become intertwined. Everything working together.
I learned that there are layers. The world is like a puzzle. Every country has different puzzle pieces = they are different. Still, we are one world together. We in art school create together, even if we have our differences. This whole semester is about using other people there work to build upon. Also in the next phase, we work together in groups. Everyone has a unique style, just like they layer their unique puzzle of the world.
